We are happy to announce that one of our PhD students and research fellows Nele Friedrichsen has successfully defended her PhD in December 2011. Her thesis "Investment, Unbundling, and Vertical Governance in Electric Power Systems" deals with questions of coordination in electric power systems, in particular if these are liberalized and unbundled. Financial support within the research projects UNECOM and IRIN is gratefully acknowledged.
