Biographie

Regulierung, Industrieökonomie und Wettbewerbspolitik, angewendet vor allem in den liberalisierten Netzindustrien sind die Forschungsschwerpunkte von Gert Brunekreeft. Er habilitierte 2002 an der wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Freiburg. Danach führte ihn sein Weg an die University of Cambridge und das Tilburg Law and Economics Center (TILEC) der Universität Tilburg. Bevor er zur Jacobs University in Bremen kam, war Gert Brunekreeft als Senior Economist (Regulation Management) bei der EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG tätig. Mit seiner Professur in Energy Economics an der Jacobs University übernahm er auch die Leitung des Bremer Energie Instituts. Momentane Forschungsschwerpunkte sind insbesondere Regulierung, Investitionen und vertikale Entflechtung.
